Chelsea Hostetter is a cartoonist/illustrator based out of Austin, Texas who does both commissioned, personal, and volunteer work with her art. She taught herself art, majored in Japanese at Carnegie Mellon University, and plans to fuse her two loves together in her comics and art.
Chelsea has founded Koumori Comics, a cartoonists’ group in Austin, and Melon Graphic Novel Club in Pittsburgh. She has published her comics in both American and Japanese conventions, and likes to travel the U.S. selling prints and doing commissions. She currently works as an illustrator-for-hire, art and photography model, and philanthropist. Her dream is to keep pursuing her goal of being a cartoonist, and to start her own company to further promote comics as a medium of communication within both America and beyond.
